Social Welfare Activities
In line with the Agarapatana Plantations’ policy and in collaboration with the Public Health and Development Trust (PHDT), we have implemented morning meal programs across all our estates. These programs are aimed at bolstering the nutritional well-being of the younger generation, ensuring they receive adequate nourishment to support their growth and development.
We are deeply committed to promoting gender equality and proudly honour the remarkable women in our workforce. Their invaluable contributions, unwavering spirit, and resilience deserve recognition. Through our appreciation, we create an inclusive environment that empowers and uplifts these women, fostering equality and respect.
In line with our commitment to the well-being and holistic development of children, we organized vibrant Children’s Day programs across all our child development centers. These programs were designed to celebrate the joy, innocence and potential of every child under our care.
To foster a healthy and harmonious relationship amongst the employees, we have organized engaging sports activities among the youth in our estates. These events provide a platform for the younger generation to participate in friendly competition, develop teamwork skills, and strengthen bonds within the community, ultimately creating a positive and cohesive work environment.
As a response to the challenging economic circumstances faced by our workers, we have introduced the concept of home vegetable gardening. By encouraging and supporting our workers to cultivate their own vegetable gardens, we aim to provide them with an additional source of income and help alleviate financial burdens. This initiative not only empowers our workers to become more self-sufficient but also promotes sustainability and food security within our estate community.
