Kotagala plantations - Excellence in Diversity Where leaves unfold stories of flavor and tradition.

We are a leading public listed company specializing in the management of tea, rubber, and oil palm estates in Sri Lanka.

Initially, Kotagala Plantations comprised 10 high-grown tea properties situated in the Dimbulla district, along with 14 rubber and tea cum rubber properties in the Kalutara district. Over time, we have expanded our portfolio through strategic acquisitions, amalgamations, and exchanges. Today, our company has evolved to encompass 10 high-grown properties and 11 rubber, tea cum rubber, and oil palm estates in the low country.

At Kotagala, we take pride in our diverse agricultural operations. With 12 tea factories and 8 rubber factories, we possess the infrastructure and expertise to produce various types of tea, including rotorvane, leafy, and CTC manufacture. Our rubber manufacturing capabilities encompass crepe, sole crepe, and centrifuged production methods. Further, we have ventured into oil palm cultivation, adding another dimension to our agricultural endeavours.

Tea

The higher altitudes and cooler temperatures develop unique taste profiles depending on the quality clones of the tea bushes.

Rubber

Crepe rubber is highly flexible and exhibits excellent elasticity. This natural flexibility allows it to conform to the shape of objects.

Oil Palm

Fresh fruit bunches (FFB) of oil palm are the primary agricultural product derived from oil palm trees (Elaeis guineensis).

Cultivating tomorrow, sustainably today
